Brief details of Idea: During the pathfinder project students have worked on a variety of Arts and Crafts based projects.
Some of the projects have been mini-enterprise based where the students have developed their own art work and then sold their work within the school or at trade fairs.
Projects included a Year 8 group of girls who have designed handbags and a group of students who have produced calligraphy, vase decorating and plate decorating.
A further project for Year 9 has been to introduce the idea of enterprise, creativity, innovation and Business using silk screen printing.
Projects have considered market research taking account of client / user needs and detailed analysis of the wide variety of existing products.

ICT has been used to scan, manipulate and then colour separate images ready for transfer to multiple colour screens.
We have worked with the London College of Printing who have
provided a 5 days mini apprenticeship for 15 students to introduce them to
all aspects of printing including book design, book binding, digital screen
printing, ceramics, working with different materials etc.
Students have learnt how to start a business, how
to buy and sell products and upgrade them, and sell the upgraded products.
